Now that high season is well and truly here, sea conditions are flat and calm every day making a smooth, easy trip to the Phi Phi National Marine Reserve. Its approximately 45 mins by speedboat from Chalong Pier in Phuket. Once at Phi Phi there are a number of islands and Bays to explore, though this year Maya Bay is closed to allow for regeneration. The Similan Islands National Park is located 85 km north-west of Phuket and 65 km west of Khao Lak.
